My Story

My journey into the realm of holistic healing began with a deeply personal and transformative experience. In 1992, I lost my mother to cancer. Witnessing her brave battle with the disease and the harsh side effects of conventional treatments left a lasting impact on me. It was during this difficult time that I started searching for alternative ways to support health and alleviate suffering. I discovered a product called Essiac, a herbal remedy with a fascinating history linked to the Chippewa Indians and a nurse in Canada who witnessed its healing powers. Although I couldn't get it to my mother in time, it planted a seed in me that there must be gentler, more effective ways to support health.

This curiosity led me to study Western herbalism, where I learned about the powerful role of herbs in healing. Despite financial constraints, I pursued an associate's degree in nursing, which deepened my understanding of anatomy and physiology. However, my true calling was always in holistic health. Over the years, I continued to expand my knowledge, completing yoga teacher training and discovering the incredible synergy between yoga and herbal medicine.

In my yoga therapy training, I learned about the ancient practices of healing with yoga and herbs, particularly in India. Inspired by the holistic approach of using both herbs and yoga for healing, I knew this was the path I wanted to follow. I also immersed myself in Ayurvedic studies through the International Integrative Educational Institute, where I developed a profound appreciation for the science of Ayurveda and its potential to transform lives.

One of my primary focuses is on managing diabetes through holistic methods. With diabetes affecting nearly 12% of the population in the United States, I was driven to find natural solutions. I studied extensively, including a program from an Indian clinic that successfully combines strict diets and herbal formulations to manage the condition. Although I don't have access to their specific medications, I am confident that the herbs I work with can make a significant difference.

In addition to diabetes, I have a deep interest in supporting individuals with central nervous system disorders such as Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and chronic fatigue syndrome. My recent training in yoga therapy for the central nervous system has equipped me with the tools to offer specialized support for these conditions.

Throughout my journey, I have learned the power of gratitude and positivity. Embracing these principles has transformed my own life, and I am passionate about sharing them with others. My approach is not just about treating ailments but fostering a mindset of wellness and resilience.
